Quick and Easy Vegan Garlic Aioli

This quick and easy vegan garlic aioli can be made in 5 minutes or less and only has 4 ingredients. This is the cheaters version of aioli where we start with vegan mayo as our base instead of oil. Sometimes you just want a good dipping sauce without all the effort.

Here’s what you’ll need to make my super easy vegan garlic aioli

  • vegan mayo – I’ve tried a lot of different vegan mayo’s and I personally think Hellmann’s makes the best one.
  • garlic – The garlic has to be fresh. This will give it that perfect garlicky taste.
  • lemon juice- Adds a slight tang to the aioli.
  • salt- To help enhance all the flavors.

Since it is a super simple base, you can make other variations of aioli by, adding sriracha for a spicy kick. You can replace the lemon for cilantro and lime for a zesty dipping sauce. You can even add some smoked paprika for a light smoky flavor. The possibilities are really endless, so get creative!

Here’s how to make vegan garlic aioli

(blink and you might miss the instructions, they are that easy)

  1. With the back of a knife, lightly smash a large clove of garlic then mince. Add minced garlic, vegan mayo, salt and lemon juice to a bowl and combine. Optionally you can add all the ingredients to a high sided bowl and then use an immersion blender to smooth out the garlic.

What to use it with

This vegan garlic aioli is a super versatile condiment. You can use it as, a dipping sauce for French fries, roasted veggies, on top of a veggie burger or even dolloped on tacos. I use it as a spread on my Copycat TTLA Sandwich.
